Beric the Briton

I don’t know about that, but I can say his books captured not only theirs, but mine as well. I love reading about Beric and his friends, and I learned a lot about both the Romans and the Britons during this berric. The formula is reasonably successful and I generally don’t find it gets in the way of a good story, but this book bogged down in the middle.

However, Henty seemed to take a strange little rabbit trail near the end with Beric’s quests into the British interior. I enjoy listening to them as well. Other than that, the story was enjoyable.

This book is for any with the spirit of action, adventure, romance and history. Just about all of Jesus’ disciples were martyred during this time. Henty’s secretaries reported that he would quickly pace back and forth in his study dictating stories as fast as the secretary could record them.
