Read reviews that mention kissed by an angel elizabeth chandler read the first three books next book cape cod book in this series twists and turns best friend angel series well written pretty much last book happily ever high school loved the book loved this series ivy and tristan highly recommend fell in love pretty good.

I’ve had the first trilogy on my shelf for years and just got around to reading it over then summer, then I found out there was the second trilogy and I wasby dissapointed.
Oh my don’t even get me started. Not what you’d be expecting at all BUT the very last chapter of the very last book did warm my heart and left me with a smile. Beautifully written, although the spelling errors are atrocious and there are many, I still loved this series and highly recommend BOTH trilogies. I wasn’t sure why this sequel was written. The original Kissed by an Angel trilogy wrapped up so perfectly, not to mention happily.
Now, browsing on Amazon, I see it was actually written in the mid’s and recently reprinted, so the sequel was probably the author capitalizing on the current huge trend of young adult paranormal romance. That would have been fine. She could have left this series alone! I did like this book.
In fact, I was up all night reading it and finished it in two nights. Chandler is a pretty good author, with her writing style, ability to build suspense, and creating interesting, mostly likeable characters. What I hated was that this sequel ruined the perfect ending we were left with from the original trilogy. Yes, Tristan died, but Ivy was moving on.
Will elizabeh a great guy. You really couldn’t find a better boyfriend. These bad things happen in life, and everyone was making the best of it. I was originally attracted to Kissed by an Angel in the store because of the simple, yet beautiful artwork on the cover. When I turned it around and saw how fascinating it sounded, plus it was about someone with my name, I just had to have it.
And I loved it. I was just so disappointed that in this sequel Ivy was not nearly as likeable. So as Evercrossed starts, it’s a year since Tristan died. I can understand Ivy being sad, but I can’t really understand it ruining her life, especially so far as evercrosssd treats her friends badly.
This is my problem with pretty much all young adult novels out there today: I just do not buy that you can be so hopelessly, desperately in love with someone when you are only Especially when you have been together a month! I don’t recall how long Ivy and Tristan were together, but that is usually about right. So anyway, Ivy has a vision of Tristan, and all of a sudden, she is out of love with Will, who she has been in a real relationship with for a whole year.
Or rather, she realizes she can never love him the way she loved Tristan So Ivy starts spending all her time with someone who reminds her of Tristan, while neglecting her friends.
While this book was somewhat predictable, it also had a twist in the end I was not expecting. It also left me with some questions, however.
How did the villain cause the car crash? The villain didn’t seem to be in a convenient location to do such a thing. Was it just a lucky coincidence the villain decided to take advantage of?
Will we find these things out later, or does no one care? I was wondering how it was going to wrap up in just a few pages, when I turn a page All the pages left were a preview of the next sequel! I was so mad! Especially since the paperback won’t be out for another year. eercrossed
Doesn’t the author know that even when you have sequels, each story is supposed to be complete?? They’re supposed to match when I put them next to each other on my shelf. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. Five stars, hands down for this book. I read the entire thing in about three days and that’s only because I had to work in between, but I’m happy it was on my kindle, in my excitement I might have torn some of the pages out while flipping pages.
Yes, it does get a bit slow, but all the scenes are very important and they all build up to the amazing climax of the story. In someone else’s body. I think I punched myself in the face a few times with my “fist pumps gone wrong”. Because it’s been about two or three years since I bought the book in print at a Barnes And Nobles and had my mind blown to bits by Elizabeth Chandler’s writing.
The only bad thing about not knowing the release date of the 4th book in this series, is I’m going to finish this book again and then freak out thinking the next book’s release is right around the corner. No matter what I say, I can’t convince someone to read it, but chances are if you made it to this part, you’ve been interested in something I’ve had to say about this book. So, if you haven’t read the book yet, I suggest you stop reading this review right now and get your mouse icon over the buy button and click it repeatedly until the book is in your possession.
Another thing I love about this series, it’s finally a romantic book I can share with others without being embarrassed because of someone opening it to a raunchy sex scene.
