It had some good intense moments, but I wasn’t completely horrified or grossed out. I enjoyed reading about both Powell and Chey’s pasts, although it looks like I will have to move on to Overwinter fdostbite see more of them working together and not trying to kill each other. The novel opens with Cheyenne “Chey” Clarke parachuting into the wilds of Alberta, provisioned with extensive hiking supplies, most of which are immediately lost.

Aug 28, Frederick Allen rated wellinghon really liked it. After walking for sometime, Chey feels eyes boring into her, and as she realises it’s a pack of wolves her only savour is to climb a tree. This one fit that bill perfectly. While this is classed primarily as ‘horror’, I wouldn’t call it so. Cheyenne Clark is a woman with a mission-a woman determined to track and to locate an enemy whose predations she has suffered from since age twelve.

A lone woman, trekking through the desolation of the pre-Arctic forest is driven by need yet abandoned in fear — some dwvid mission half completed. What will she do? Rather, it is as if the body becomes ephemeral and a new body is created, at every change.

When suddenly she realizes she is now up against the monster that took her family away! However, the werewolves come into the story far too late to be interesting and the motivation behind their bestiality remains cloaked by only the vaguest notions of what compels them, unlike the sequel. Definitely for horror fans and NOT paranormal wel, ington fans. She never asks or even thinks about it.

It was realistic and gritty; the story’s ending left it open for a sequel. Long story short, I didn’t care. Frostite Clark is out for vengeance in the name of her father. When you are THE apex predator, then you kill as you wish.

I recommend Wellington to anyone who likes books. Works by David Wellington. Normally frostbte with lots of action bore me but this was a real page Turner and none of the action seems like it is pointless and just added so the story will be action packed. Oct 03, Sandy rated it really liked it Shelves: This is a must read series!!

A howl rings through the trees, a chilling and unique frosbtite, which sends the wolves running. Sep 02, pennyg rated it it was ok. The narrator didn’t feel like he wanted to be there descriptions were matter-of-fact and staccato, or bogged down in unnecessary frillsChey was completely uninteresting all I know about her from that opening is she loves cereal bars, wears Timberlands, and keeps almost cryingand I couldn’t even slog through to the wellingtoon chapter like I wanted to, to give it a chance t This was unbearable.

Strung between the world of humanity and revenge and desire to survive as a beast, Chey frostbote decide if her adversary is now her friend.

Me ha gustado, sobre todo, como los convertidos se debaten entre frostbire personalidad humana y la animal, para conseguir convivir con ambas formas.

The one big problem for me is that everyone seems to know that werewolves are real and out there. Aug 27, Daniel rated it really liked it.

There was closure at the end of the novel yet I see that this is the beginning of a series for the author. Frostbite by David Wellington.
