This book is not yet featured on Listopia. It’s fascinating to compare something like this with the very crude approach of Howard Zinn, who tackles some of the same texts. Examining European literary texts from the late 16thC, Greenblatt uncovers an imperialism that is linguistic in nature. Unfinished, and not that sorry about it.
